Banoffee pie was invented in 1971 by Nigel Mackenzie and Ian Dowding at the Hungry Monk restaurant in East Sussex, England. It was inspired by an American "Coffee Toffee Pie," but they experimented by adding bananas to a toffee pudding pie until they found a winning combination. The name is a portmanteau of "banana" and "toffee," and the pie became so popular that its recipe was published in a cookbook and later appeared on condensed milk tins, solidifying its global fame.
Indulge in our scrumptious banoffee pie. Handmade from quality ingredients and never any preservatives or palm oils. The crunchy graham cracker crust is topped with a sweet, caramel dulce de leche, followed by real bananas and topped with English toffee. The "icing on the cake" is our homemade whipped cream made from only heavy cream and a dash of sugar and vanilla. 9" pie. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. Select pick up day and time upon checkout.
